Nissan GTR Modified
Powerhouse Amuse has been one of the legendary tuning companies in Japan. Their most recent venture has been into the realm of the Nissan GTR. Known for their sleek white cars with a plethora of parts both aero and engine tuning; Powerhouse Amuse is one of those legendary JDM tuners. The Amuse GTR R35, nicknamed Phantom, features cool carbon fiber parts, suspension, and some engine tuning that boost the power output to over 600 hp! These modifications allowed the Phantom GTR to run a 59.061 lap time at the Tsukuba Circuit which speaks a lot about this street prepped car.
Starting out back with the exhaust, Amuse has created a gorgeous titanium dual exhaust that weights about half of what the stock one does. Named the R1 Titan Extra STTI, this exhaust design seems to be copied by others trying to make a buck on selling GTR parts. By buying the Amuse GTR exhaust you are guaranteeing JDM quality. But this comes with a hefty $4k price tag. The Phantom Amuse GT-R also rocks the R1 Titan Sports Cat STTI which are essentially straight pipes made from Titanium. This item shaves another 16 lbs. There are a set of R1000 Titanium turbo outlets for the dual turbo’s. All these parts come together with the amuse Hi Tech ROM ECU. With some great tuning capabilities, the Power House Amuse team ended up getting the Phantom GTR to pump out 602 horsepower.
The suspension is handled by a set of R1 Adjustable SUS coilovers. The stock Bilstein shocks are retained while adjustable springs are added into the mix. Combine that with adjustable heights settings and rubber bushings you get a firm but manageable ride on the street. This spring package is a real affordable solution for the GTR and costs about $2400.
The best part of the Phantom R35 GTR from Amuse is the excellent body pieces attached to this car. The front spoiler is much more than a regular lip. It is a full front under diffuser that not only provides down force but it also directs cold air onto the intercooler. Rounding out the mods to the Phantom GTR is a nice big Dry Carbon Fiber wing.
