Toyota has unveiled the first official photos and details of the FT-86 Concept which will debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show later this month. The compact, rear-wheel drive sports concept FT-86 was developed together with Subaru.

The Toyota FT-86 Concept is powered by a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated gasoline engine from Subaru mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and ADVICS brakes.

The four-seater sports concept measures at 4,160 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,260 mm high with the wheelbase of 2,570 mm.

The FT-86 Concept was designed by Toyota Europe Design Development known as ED2. The interior features instrument panel with a gray and white base, gauges with red neon lights and digital displays, and a navigation system.
