Novitec Fiat Punto Evo
The Fiat and Alfa Romeo car tuning specialist, Novitec, have released this extensive program for the new Fiat Punto Evo. Starting off under the hood, Novitec installed their PowerJet 2 auxiliary control unit with plug and power technology for the turbocharged 1.4-liter 16V MultiAir gas engine. The numbers were boosted to 160 hp from the standard 135 hp, and the torque increased from 206 to 246 Nm. At the track, the new Fiat Punto Evo accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, while the top speed was 209 km/h. For a unique exhaust tone, Novitec hooked it up with stainless steel sport mufflers, which are EG certified and available in 26 different versions, starting at 200 Euros.
For the exterior styling on the Fiat, the tuning firm installed their Novitec headlamp moldings, spoiler, X-one-look hood, side sills, and rear diffuser. While the diffuser gives the car a popular racing look, it also improves the handling and performance at the track. Novitec N10 alloy wheels with ten double spokes come in sizes 17 or 18-inches, and available in either silver or polished black surfaces. The complete wheel package sells for 1,310 Euros, which includes the high performance tires as well. Topping off the Fiat package, Novitec offers sport springs that can be used with the factory shock absorbers, or a fully adjustable coilover suspension kit for the Punto Evo. The lowering rate for the coil over setup can be adjusted from 35 to 75 mm, and the top of the line package allows varying damper rates.
